The state government’s decision to enforce mandatory screening of Marathi films at multiplexes during prime time, might have been criticized by many, but Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan strongly supports this move.

At a recent media interaction, SRK said that this is indeed a wonderful move and added that regional cinema should not only be supported but also encouraged. The superstar, however, did not support the government’s previous move to make Marathi cinema a compulsion in multiplexes and said that people should be given a freedom of choice. The King Khan concluded by saying that Marathi cinema is quite good and that he is producing a couple of Marathi films soon.

Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen playing a superstar in YRF flick Fan and a Gujarati bootlegger in Raees.
