Samsung Galaxy A8 fully shown off in leaked hands-on video
A leaked hands-on video has revealed Samsung’s yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A8.
Samsung introduced the A series of the Galaxy line in December, and it includes the 4.5-inch Samsung Galaxy A3, the 5-inch Samsung Galaxy A5, and the 5.5-inchSamsung Galaxy A7. The company has trademarked three other A-based names (the A6, A8, and A9), which suggests another round of phones is on the way.
That said, NoWhereElse has just posted a hands-on video of the Galaxy A8. The video is reportedly a hands-on from the the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA) in China, and it seems to confirm that Samsung will update its A series of thin and light smartphones sometime later this year.
The Galaxy A8 is expected to be Samsung’s slimmest phone at 5.9mm-thin. It’ll weigh roughly 142g. Other rumoured specs include a metal body, 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 386ppi, 64-bit octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 graphics, and 2GB of RAM.
It’ll also boast a fingerprint sensor, 16GB on-board storage, support for microSD, 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel fron camera, and a 3,050 mAh battery. And it will likely ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz.
We’re not sure yet about pricing or availability.
