Seoul, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul, a ‘key’ urban renewal project, on Tuesday morning.Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Vikas Swarup took to twitter to share the information.

The Prime Minister also interacted with the Indian diaspora at the Cheonggyecheon Stream, amid chants of “Modi, Modi” and enthusiastic waving of the Tricolour.
The restoration of the Cheonggyecheon Stream, which took place from 2003 to 2005, is considered a major success in urban renewal and beautification, with the Seoul authorities reportedly undertaking it in an attempt to re-introduce nature to the city and to promote a more eco-friendly urban design.
