The CBSE has set in motion the process for declaring the result of NEET 2017 after the Supreme Court gave a go-ahead to the board. The apex court stayed a May 24 interim order of the Madras High Court, which had restrained the CBSE from publishing the result of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017.

The CBSE will announce the result of the national medical entrance examination within a week of the completion of these two processes.

The candidates can check the scanned Images of their OMR Sheet & Answer Keys by logging into their account using their user ID (Registration No.) and Password on NEET website. The candidates willing to challenge the responses of their OMR sheet and answers prepared by CBSE may do so by paying a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) per response/per question challenged as explained in the Information Bulletin – 2017 available on NEET website. Only online challenges within the stipulated period and with applicable fee will be considered. Fee paid will be refunded to the candidate if his/her challenge is accepted by the CBSE.

It has been observed by CBSE that candidates make changes/alterations in the downloaded copies of the OMR Sheets and claim that their OMR Sheets have been tampered with by CBSE. This act of false claim by candidates is covered under unfair practices in Rule 9.1(k) & (l) of Chapter 9 of Information Bulletin. If it is found that any candidate is making such false claims, he/she will be debarred from appearing in future NEET-UG Examinations as per rules. The candidates and parents are advised to check and download the copies of OMR Sheets themselves. The decision of the CBSE in the matter of challenges to the responses marked by the candidates & Answer Key shall be final.
