The Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 (E311), which was made available to buy via an e-commerce site earlier this week, has been launched by the company at Rs. 10,990.
The Canvas Nitro 2 (E311) is the successor of the Micromax Canvas Nitro (A311) that was launched back in December at Rs. 13,574.
Micromax’s latest Canvas smartphone is similar to its predecessor, with the only differences between the Nitro 2 (E311) and the Nitro (A311) being that the former is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and packs a 2400mAh battery. The other specifications of the new smartphone are identical to the Canvas Nitro (A311). To refresh, Micromax back in September launched the Canvas Nitro (A310) in India.
The dual-SIM Canvas Nitro 2 (E311) runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It features 2GB of DDR3 RAM and comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing fixed focus camera, apart from a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera that features an M8 Largan lens and a Sony sensor, coupled with LED flash.
Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The Canvas Nitro 2 includes 16GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). The handset features an accelerometer, ambient light, and proximity sensor.
The smartphone will be available in Moondust Grey and Pristine White colours across India starting Thursday.
