India wins 7 gold medals in speed skating at Hong Kong International Speed Skating Championship

India grabbed 14 medals, half of them gold, in the Hong Kong International Speed Skating Championship, in which they faced competitors from China, Bangladesh and the host country.

India also won five silver and two bronze medals in the event that was organised by Doon Yuen from Checkers Sports Club in Hong Kong, according to available information.

Eleven-year-old Kushi Shah was the star performer when she won the gold in three races held over three distances – 250, 500 and 1000 metres, it was learnt.
