Harbhajan Singh, Geeta Basra Gear Up for Wedding

It’s one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year so far, with cricketer Harbhajan Singh and Bollywood actress Geeta Baasra due to get married on October 29. And now, their reception card has found its way online and reveals that the big fat Punjabi event is scheduled for November 1.
The red-and-gold wedding invitation, embossed with the couple’s initials, has been created by designer AD Singh who posted its photograph on Twitter.A Hindustan Times report states that the wedding will be solemnised at Hotel Club Cabana on Phagwara Road, located about 20 km away from the spinner’s hometown Jalandhar.
The wedding festivities, including the sangeet, mehendi and reception, will be spread over five days. The bride, 31, will wear a designer ghagra for her big day. Harbhajan, 35 has opted for a sherwani by designer Raghavendra Rathore.A Times of India report quotes a source as saying, “Being a stickler for tradition, Harbhajan will wear an elegant sherwani designed by couturier Raghavendra Rathore.
Geeta has opted for ghaghras for all the important occasions, including the sangeet (October 27), mehendi (October 28), wedding (October 29) and reception (November 1). Her ceremonial dresses have been designed by Archana Kochhar and Babita Malkani while her wedding dress will be a stunning heavy ghaghra in red and gold.”
Geeta Basra, who has featured in films such as Mr Joe B. Carvalho, Bhaiyyaji Superhit and The Train, was last seen in Second Hand Husband which released in July this year.Harbhajan Singh, who is India’s third-most successful Test bowler – after Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev – was recently picked for the South Africa T20I series.
