The second generation version of the Chromebook Pixel laptop was launched by Google on Wednesday. The updated Chromebook Pixel 2015 will be selling on the newly unveiled Google Store, which is being referred to as the “new home for the latest devices made with Google,” by Google.

The Chromebook Pixel 2015 will come in two models which will both feature fifth generation Intel Core processors. While the 2.2GHz Intel Core i5 processor version has been priced at $999 (roughly Rs.62,000), the LS (Ludicrous Speed) version with the 2.4GHz Intel Core i7 processor has been priced at $1,299 (Rs.81,000). Consumers in the US will be able to purchase the device from the Google Store, although availability in other regions is not yet known.

According to a blog post by Google, “Two years ago, we introduced the first Chromebook Pixel. The idea was to bring together the best in hardware, software and design to inspire the next generation of Chromebooks.”

The Chromebook Pixel 2015 will come with a 12.85 inch multi-touch display and a 2560×1700 pixels resolution.
