BANGALORE: Two persons were injured in a blast in Central Bengaluru’s Church Street area on Sunday evening.
The blast took place outside a restaurant just after 8.30 pm.
One of the victims is reportedly an elderly woman who has been critically injured. The other person, a man, is said to be out of danger.
The police are yet to say anything on the nature of the blast. Sources said it was a low-intensity blast from an Improvised Explosive Device. The forensics team has been rushed to the spot.
Additional police forces have been mobilised in the city, where the threat perception had been high in view of the year-end festivities.
