Anna University will start online registration for admissions to the engineering courses for the academic year 2016-17 on April 15.

The registration of online applications for TNEA 2016 will begin on April 15. The last date for online registration has been fixed as seven days from the date of publication of the Plus Two results, according to Anna University Registrar S Ganesan.

After registering, the applicant should take a printout of the application form and send it to the university along with the required  demand draft and xerox copies of documents like mark statement and community certificate, he added.

The last date for submitting the filled-in application forms is 10 days from the publication of the Plus-Two results.

To help students with the online registration process and to clarify their doubts, 60 facilitation centres will be set up in Anna University departments, university colleges and government engineering and polytechnic colleges across the State, the Registrar said.

The dates for assigning the random number, publication of rank list and commencement of single-window counselling will be decided after the announcement date of the Plus-Two results is known.

TNEA counselling will start after the commencement of medical counselling.

In 2015-16, Tamil Nadu had 2,88,717 seats (including government and management quota)  for undergraduate engineering and technology courses in 574 colleges.

The number of seats available for this year’s single-window counselling will be known only after the AICTE completes the approval process, Anna University its affiliation process and the surrendering of management-quota seats.
